Running Coaching That Fits Around Your Life

You don’t need to be naturally gifted or have endless hours to train to become a better runner.

You need a realistic plan that’s built around you, your running ability, your goals and everything else going on in your life.
At Runners Ignited, I provide personal running coaching and training plans to help you train with purpose, stay consistent and enjoy your running.

Running Shouldn’t Feel This Complicated

Many runners aren’t struggling because they lack motivation. They’re struggling because they don’t have a clear plan that works for them and their life.
You might be wondering if you’re training correctly, struggling to stay consistent or finding yourself overwhelmed by conflicting advice.
Maybe you keep picking up injuries, don’t know what to focus on next or simply find that life keeps getting in the way.
If any of that sounds familiar, you’re definitely not alone.
You don’t need to completely organise your life around running. You need to find an approach that works within it.

Coaching Built Around You

Every runner is different, which is why my coaching starts with understanding you, not just your pace or weekly mileage.

Race-Specific Coaching

Training for your first, or fastest, 5K, 10K or Half Marathon? I’ll help you prepare with a plan that’s right for you.

Progress Comes From Consistency

I don’t believe running needs to take over your life for you to make progress.

My approach is built around sustainable training and consistent improvement.

It’s about doing what you can consistently, rather than occasionally trying to do everything perfectly.
Training should add something positive to your life, not become another source of pressure or stress.

And importantly, we want to keep you running. Healthy runners improve much faster than injured runners.

Imperfect action will always beat perfect inaction.

Discover What Your Running Needs Next

The Ignite Your Running Framework™

Before you need a training plan, you need clarity.

The free Ignite Your Running Framework™ helps you take a step back, understand where you are now and work out what will help move your running forward.

You’ll work through five simple questions:
  • What is your SMART running goal for the next 90 days?
  • Why does that goal matter to you?
  • Where are you now?
  • What challenges could hold you back?
  • What support do you need to succeed?
It’s simple, practical and designed to give you a clearer direction for your running.

I Was Late to the Running Party Too

I didn’t start running until I was well into my late 30s. At the time, I was juggling a full-time job, family life, raising two children and building a voluntary social enterprise. Time was limited. Life was busy.

And I often wondered if I’d left it too late to become a runner. What I discovered was that you don’t need to be naturally gifted, and you certainly don’t need endless hours to train. You need a realistic, doable plan, consistency and the right support. It’s one of the reasons I created Runners Ignited.
